Regardless of your position or responsibilities, you realize that you could be injured on the job at some point. This holds true even if you hold an office job in which you are not required to take part in physical activity on a regular basis.

— Chemical exposure. This comes into play when you are exposed to a dangerous chemical.
— Repetitive motion. If you do the same thing, day after day, it can lead to a repetitive motion injury. For instance, using a computer all day long may cause vision or hand problems.
— Struck by an object. A falling object, for example, could cause a serious head injury.
Not only can these causes of workplace injuries lead to pain, but you may find that you are unable to return to your job in the near future. As a result, you may not be able to provide for your family as you have in the past.
